UCanPack, a US packaging and shipping supplies provider, has introduced a line of engineered tall boxes for e-commerce shippers. The line is said to focus on impact resistance, crush protection, and right-sized geometry.
The boxes, available through UCanPack’s online catalog, are designed for elongated and narrow goods, such as lamps, tripods, sports gear, décor, and rolled materials. The solution aims to support brands in reducing transit damage while streamlining pack bench workflows.
“Our tall boxes were engineered around the realities of parcel networks. By dialing in geometry, board strength, and stress zone reinforcement, shippers can lower avoidable breakage and cut down on repacks and returns — without slowing the line,” says a UCanPack spokesperson.
Reinforced structure
UCanPack says the boxes offer slim profiles and tall formats that “fit elongated stock keeping units snugly to limit product rattle.” The solution aims to reduce corner and edge striking while lowering the need for excessive void fill.
The tall range complements existing corrugated shipper assortments, improving shelf space and simplifying training at the pack bench. The box features a single-wall 32 Edge Crush Test for standard loads, with upgraded board and double-wall options for heavier or impact-sensitive items. The design pays structural attention to corners and long spans to prevent bowing and compression during cross-dock and last-mile handling.
The solution features print-ready surfaces. It enables branding, handling cues, and returns guidance via digital print for instructions and consistent customer experiences.
“UCanPack’s tall box line is designed to align with sustainability programs while maintaining ship-tested performance. Options include high recycled content papers, water-based inks, and recyclable coatings,” says the company.
As e-commerce continues to grow, businesses are advancing shipping box designs that enhance environmental sustainability. Last month, Moyu, a Netherlands-based stationery company, launched a reusable stone-based paper shipping box. The Stonepacker is said to last for 25 uses and is fully recyclable.
Last year, DS Smith equipped Minerva, a Greek apparel company, with its Tape Back box to facilitate e-commerce return processes and reduce packaging material.
