The 5 elements of packaging development

As a development agency, the company develops functional packaging which taps into user convenience, cost efficiency, product protection and sustainability. A winning development was the ACU-Drop II, which was awarded the top prize in the Dutch De Gouden Noot (The Golden Nut) award. Suitable for medical applications, the mono-material, two-part packaging keeps liquids separate until they are needed to come together. A difficult part of the development was ensuring a long shelf-life for the liquids, as well as creating a device that is entirely made from plastic and is fully recyclable, company Director Peter Kuhn explains at Empack 2019.
